About Us

Zelda Net is one of those websites which was always going to appear eventually, but it was just a case of ‘when’ it would be and how good it was.

It took a while to come about because I, Alex Sains, have been rather pre-occupied participating in other websites for other video games and PC games, as well as playing, of course. Recently, though, The Legend of Zelda, and specifically Ocarina of Time has been at the top of my list of ‘games to play’. It did, as such, seem an apt time to produce a site dedicated to the incredible series that is the Legend of Zelda.

Frankly, the site didn’t take long to setup. I put it together the beginnings of the site on the 24st of March, 2007 after excitedly thinking about what I could put on it, and how it would look over the previous few days (I could say weeks, but that would be a lie!).

Lots of work yet to be done, but I hope Zelda Net will be a sufficiently good site so as to merit the prestigious name that is Zelda.

But why another Zelda site?! There are so many…

Yes, that’s undeniably the truth - there are an awful lot of good the Legend of Zelda sites around. The reason I started Zelda Net was that I get great satisfaction from being able to provide content to a large amount of people. This is not intended to sound like a selfless act — it’s not — but there’s definitely some fun in building a website up from scratch in order to help people (and yourself!).

What’s unique about Zelda Net.net?

One of the main unique factors about Zelda Net is that there is a large emphasis on community and user contributions. Our forums are temporarily based on the Final Fantasy Net message boards, where one will be able to navigate to entirely other topics, like the Nintendo Wii or individual game discussion for games like Kingdom Hearts.

Another thing encouraged on Zelda Net is user contribution — any reviews, news, or indeed simple comments will be greatly appreciated!
